I understand your rage. Wait. No I don't.

Ok, I can only imagine the fury that will accompany this announcement - forewarning from people about the possible reaction of this has helped a little - but I'm making it nonetheless, on the basis that I genuinely can't see a way around it.
I'm having to postpone the week. Yes, again. Believe me, it's not by choice, but because I'm so stressed with real life [in an attempt to gain empathy from British readers: I'm taking 5 A levels. Hopefully some of you will now understand my workload], I don't have the time to organise a whole week in the time provided. Due to hideous planning of my free time, mainly on the part of my parents, I haven't actually had a proper rest, aka time to plan Dollywood events, since last summer, when I was planning the first week, which, despite widespread attempts to discredit me, I did actually do. Mary left, people, and I haven't asserted many times my irritation that people refuse to acknowledge that I did a vast amount of the work, but believe me, I did. Two months of my life went into that. I don't want widespread butt-kissing, I'd just like you to accept it.
Not going to happen, of course, but whatever.
One thing that isn't helping is Charlotte and Christina not being able to help. I miss speaking to them both, and I long for an opportunity where we can recapture some of the summer's fun. But they're doing what I need to: focusing on more important things.
Another reason for consistent delays, in an attempt to diffuse your intent to plaster me with rage, is inability for designers to cooperate. I thought trying to get hold of Dioguardi the first time around was hard enough [which it was. They pulled out eventually, but they were hours away from being kicked out. Just so you know], but this is somehow worse. Despite publicising the need for designers to contact me [which, I might add, none of the media partners have done, despite that kind of being the point], few actually have, much less send me collections. I'd like to take this moment in time to praise the glorious and wonderful Egle [vampire_, as if you didn't know], who has now sent me her collection first out of anyone for both weeks, along with always giving me the information I need, when I need it. E, I love you. I just wish the rest of them could be as dilligent. I haven't got anywhere near the amount of information required to get this week going. I have hideous amounts to do.
Unfortunately, at least for all the pixel snorters out there, I have more to do in real life, an amount that actually became real for me today, and I'm actually scared I can't swing it. So the week is being pushed back, once more, so I can try to get a handle on the more important things.
And yeah, I get it. People out there value this week as important. I do too. But I am going to say this, and it might shock some of you, I know, but what the hell: this is virtual.
No, I'm serious. Really!
And when it comes down to it, this is my perspective: I'll lose a lot more sleep over failing my A levels and not going to university, than I will about having to delay a virtual event that it seems few people really care about right now anyway.
The week right now stands to take place March 21st-27th. But who knows. I could change it again. Recent events have proved this site is stuffed with hate we need to unnecessarily channel into others, so me pulling my procrastination act again could wrench the bloodsucking leeches sometimes referred to as 'wannabes' off of the few genuine and kind people in this little world of ours. But for the sake of my sanity, I'll try my hardest to stick to this one.
So, I believe that's my little rant over with. Feel free to rip it up, change the words to suit your story, moan about how Mary's gone [again] and slap your tawdry, whining, probably poorly written abuse tale all over your individual blogs.
Go on, I'm serious. Here's a few words and phrases you can work with: 'pompous' 'who is she anyway?' 'PMS', and my personal favourite: 'Mary would have done it better'.
Yeah, she probably would. But she's got a real life too.
Oh, and one last thing: when you've done all that? Mail me the links to your posts. Reading them will amuse me.

I am now accepting magazines and Stardesigns for SFW. One design per applicant, all applications must be made through DOLL MAIL on Stardoll. Hurry, you have a week to get your apps in!

All designers, without exception, need to contact me. I need details and designs people.

And, due to inavoidable stuff in my real life, I am pushing SFW back one more week. The official [and hopefully final] date for the week is March 14th-March 20th 2011. Mark your diaries!

These two people will accompany our fabulous Nicole in all the promos for this season's fashion week, and will hopefully become more know through their stunning looks. Seriously, personality on a stick.

You know what I love the most about all this? One of the winners actually commented on the last post, when I said it would be announced within days. I believe her post was along the lines of: "I'm so nervous, though I know I won't win!" Oh, how wrong you are...

Results of Face of SFW!!

Well, what can I say. 130 applications. That was a fun way to spend a few hours... ;D

First off, it was disappointing to see how few of you can actually read. I said no tinypics, and yet there was a good 20 of them. And like I said, they were ignored. I can't open them, because for some unknown reason they crash my computer, and I told you numerous times, so you have no one but yourselves to be blamed. :)

Next, actually finding one person was so hard. You guys are so beautiful! And our shortlist was anything but short. But we did manage to whittle it down.. and the winner is...

Are YOU the next Face of SFW?

So, I have news for you guys!! Designer and Media Partner applications have closed!! If you didn't apply yet, you are too late, but I still wish to approach a few people about their skills, so if I approach you, you still have the chance.

Next thing: A lot of people have seemed shocked at the short time between now and the week itself, which believe me it is! So I have decided to put the event back a week, to allow some extra time, and allow me to recover from jetlag! The official date of the week: March 7th -13th 2011. Get working, guys!

For all the askers, your time to apply to be a part if you are a magazine/starbazaar designer is NOT yet, but so you know:
 - If you're a starbazaar designer, it's only ONE PRINT this time around, and make it amazing, only the top designers are going to be selected! No Cullens, no designer prints, nothing stolen, OK? It has to be all you.
 - If you're a magazine, your magazine HAS to be planned for release during the week, OK? No negotiation on that one.

It's back, people.

Grab your calendar, and make sure you aren't doing anything February 28th-March 5th 2011, because Stardoll Fashion Week is back!

This time around, we're doing it right. You have over 3 MONTHS to work on your collections for the Fall/Winter 2011 season, at least 12 looks to qualify a collection, please! We want ALL last season's geniuses to return, but we're still looking for more! We don't have a limit, so if you think you have the design talent to achieve a position, all you need to do is fill out a form and wait for me to contact you!

I need to clarify a few things: I don't wish to pinpoint them specifically, but they have been in the media recently with this false claim [through no fault of their own, as far as I know] so I want to straighten it out: Admire Couture, as yet, do NOT have a confirmed spot in the week. As I said to everyone who contacted me in the first few months, you all need to come forward AGAIN, so I can register you. Nobody has a confirmed spot yet, so everyone who has an interest, including those who contacted me previously, need to fill out the form below. GRAPHICS DESIGNERS ONLY RIGHT NOW PLEASE!

This time, there is NO SET RUNWAY. Remember before we had the template? Any designers who wish to use this and manipulate it to their desired look are free to do so. But if you want, you can design your own, completely from scratch! It can be anywhere, a garden, an old castle, the beach, anywhere you want! This is just another way in which you can exhibit your design talent, so give it a go! We have a few rules, but otherwise it's up to you:
 - Must have a 'walkway' [ie a clear space for the models to walk down... clearish, anyway]
 - Must have the SFW banner at the top, like the previous season [I can take care of that, just make sure the top hundred pixels or some doesn't have anything in it you want to be seen]
 - Must be of certain dimensions [ask for these when registering]

Due to timing issues last time, we had a few collections incomplete or dropping out all together. This must NOT happen this time around. If you haven't registered by January 15th, unless it is through fault of my own, you are NOT in the week, so do not wait around to get involved, and around three weeks before the show, I want ALL collections in, so we can work on presentation, and loading them onto blogger [no glitches this time, thank you very much...]. These deadlines are set so we can make the week run smoothly, and this time, I have little tolerance for it, which may seem harsh, but it's OK for you. You don't have a fashion week to plan.

Unless we cannot get hold of our previous Media Partners to confirm, we will be keeping all current media partners, but we still want more! You can fill out the form below to apply, post in the comments. At the current time, we are NOT looking for any Starbazaar designers, this will happen nearer the time, so if you're interested, start working on those! Also, if you are going to be putting your magazine out in late february to early march, just post a comment, we want to work with you!
